The Aurora Sports Hall of Fame (ASHoF) Induction Celebration Dinner is scheduled for Thursday, November 18 at the Royal Venetian Banquet Hall and promises to be Aurora’s “must-attend” event of the year! 

We are optimistic about this year’s in-person event and are making plans for an event that not only celebrates our Honoured Members and Inductees, but also offers guests new entertainment elements and the opportunity to interact with VIPs and Aurora’s sports community.
 
2021 Inductees

BrendanBrendan Macken was Canada’s top ranked player Men’s Tennis player 4 times between 1946 and 1952, and he also won the 1950 Canadian National Championship. Mr. Macken is being inducted as in the Athlete category.



Lois Thompson has been a driving force for the Aurora diggers girls’ softball program since the late 1970’s and continues to be a great figure for the organization as now she is the Diggers secretary and treasurer. Ms. Thompson is being inducted in the Builder category.


Colin Graham was instrumental in the development of the Aurora Minor Lacrosse Association and the Aurora Girls Hockey Association. He also coached female hockey for more than 20 years and served the Aurora Girls Hockey Association in several capacities. Mr. Graham is being inducted in the Builder category.



Stephen Vickers is a former NHL player who spent his 10-year career with the New York Rangers from 1972-1982. In his career he won the Calder Memorial Trophy as rookie of the year and put up 586 points (246 of which were goals) in 698 career games. Mr. Vickers is being inducted in the Athlete category.
