Indwell is a Christian charity that creates affordable housing communities that support people seeking health, wellness and belonging.
Furnish an apartment for $3500
A furnished apartment will give a tenant a fresh start in their new home — a place where they can begin to experience health, wellness, and belonging. Your gift will provide basic bedroom furnishings (single bed, nightstand or bureau), kitchen table and chairs, lounging chair, end table, and outfit the kitchen in one apartment home.
Balaclava Crossing will create 78 units of deeply affordable supportive permanent housing in Elgin. Indwell is repurposing the Balaclava Street School heritage site with 36 units in the former school and 42 in a new addition. The program will open in 2027. Supportive housing is a caring response to homelessness, as we move people off the streets into their own homes. We provide Hope and Homes with dignity, stability and community.
